Become a member of, participate in, and help to expand the Veterans Society Network
We encourage all who are serving, have served in the US Military, and attended the College of William and Mary to support the Veterans Society by registering. There are no dues or obligation requirements. As a part of the network, you will have access to the William and Mary Veterans social networking site and network with other W&M veterans!
Who can join?
Membership is open to all students, faculty, and staff who are currently serving or have served honorably in the armed forces of the United States - this includes both Active Duty and Reserve Component service, as well as ROTC (contracted cadets) depending on current membership. The Executive Board of the Society evaluates each prospective member individually for eligibility and officially inducts new members.
Under special circumstances, the Executive Board may award honorary or associate membership to those who have made a significant impact in promoting the values for which the Society stands, while making a substantial contribution to the success of the organization's mission (see "About").
Associate membership may be awarded to individuals such as the children, siblings, or spouses of service members killed in action. Spouses of deployed members of the armed forces can also qualify. Both Honorary and Associate memberships are considered non-voting.
The Veterans Society openly admits veteran students and faculty to its membership and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, personal appearance, age, national origin, political affiliation, physical or mental disability, or on the basis of rights secured by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.
